Teaching Ideas & Approach
I teach young professionals and amateurs, under 18 yr olds and coach orchestral players.
I began my own musical education aged 9, starting at Yehudi Menuhin School until the age of 18. From there, I studied at the Royal Academy of Music, taking up an invitation to study with Sándor Végh, in Salzburg.
I’m a professor in violin, viola and chamber music coach at The Royal College of Music, London and Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester.
My blog features many videos and podcasts on performance, addressing the challenges that players face. You can also find some recent master classes at RNCM, and a short video overview of my musical philosophy with young student quartet players from RCM.
